Sale of MARCH 5, 2010: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady with more emphasis on cows that aren't too fat. Feeder cattle and calves were steady to a bit higher. Just a reminder: We at BLA have signed an agreement to be an agent for the Idaho Food Bank. This deal is sponsored by several intities including the ICA and Agri Beef. The way it works is you can donate an animal to sell in which the proceeds go to the food bank. This dollar amount will be distributed to over 215 distribution points in Idaho in the for of steaks from Agri Beef. So it's a two way win for the food bank and in promoting beef. Thank you to those who have donated so far. |
